A Notification Endorsement of Pending Law Change to Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2015 has been drafted by the National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc. (NCCI) to be used on policies issued on or after January 1, 2020 to notify policyholders of the impending expiration of TRIPRA and that, if it expires, a premium charge for losses that may occur in the event of certain acts of terrorism may either continue to apply or change from the amount currently applied.

2019-05 Robotic Process Automation Service for Insurers in WCIRB Connect®

The WCIRB is offering insurers the opportunity to access experience modifications (X-Mods) in WCIRB Connect using a Robotic Process Automation (“Bot”) service. This service allows authorized insurers that have executed a Connect Services Agreement and Bot Addendum to automate the retrieval of X-Mods, which would otherwise have to be accessed manually. This option is available only for member insurers.

2019-03 2019 Terrorism Risk Insurance Data Calls

As in the last several years, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has requested that the WCIRB submit, on the industry’s behalf, insurer-specific California workers’ compensation terrorism exposure data. The CDI sent a directive to the WCIRB to submit terrorism data for policies incepting in 2016 to the NAIC through the New York State Department of Financial Services.
