On June 7, 2021, the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB) testified at a California Department of Insurance (CDI) public hearing regarding the WCIRB’s September 1, 2021 Pure Premium Rate Filing (REG-2021-00003), which was submitted to the CDI on April 29, 2021. The Insurance Commissioner requested additional information at the hearing and the record was left open at the close of the hearing.  

Yesterday, the Commissioner issued a Notice indicating that the record for the September 1, 2021 Pure Premium Rate Filing closed on July 6, 2021.

The Commissioner is expected to issue a Decision with respect to the WCIRB’s filing within 30 days of the close of the record. The WCIRB will post the decision to its website once it is issued by the Insurance Commissioner and will release a WCIRB Wire story.
