On October 5, 2020, the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB) testified at a California Department of Insurance (CDI) public hearing regarding the WCIRB’s January 1, 2021 Pure Premium Rate Filing (REG-2020-00014), which was submitted to the CDI on August 26, 2020 and amended on September 15, 2020. The Insurance Commissioner requested additional information at the hearing, so the record was left open at the close of the hearing.

Yesterday, the Commissioner issued a Notice indicating that the record for the January 1, 2021 Pure Premium Rate Filing closed on October 26, 2020.

The Commissioner is expected to issue a Decision with respect to the WCIRB’s filing within 30 days of the close of the record.
